What a wonderful ILLUSTRATOR you are! After listening to the story The Rainbow Fish , you created your own version of Rainbow fish and made a wonderful under the ocean world for him. You also learned how to use the round stamps and make those beautiful blue, green, and purple scales. Hey you even learned those are the cool colors. WOW, you sure learned a bunch of art words and techniques with this one lesson. I know you earned many silver scales. Very creative! Hurray for you.

I can see that your cutting and gluing skills are getting better and better. Remember to practice at home cutting out basic shapes and creating fun art. You have achieved the standard of drawing a picture to represent something that you read or from memory. I like the way you included the little seed, the roots, and made the flower grow and grow. Beautiful results. Keep creating. You are on your way to becoming a great illustrator just like Eric Carle, the man who made all the pretty pictures in the story book.

What fun we had creating these cute little and quiet lambs. You did a great job learning how to connect several shapes to create something brand new. Also you really showed me that you know the different kinds of lines that an artist uses. Yes, we used "springy" lines to create the lamb's body. I love how creative you got when making a great place for your lamb to live in. I see very HAPPY LAMBS! I know they are happy the Lions are gone and are ready for a beautiful spring. Well done! What a great job you did in creating this lovely waterlily on the pond. You achieved the standard for learning about famous artists and their works. You love Claude Monet and his beautiful flower paintings. Remember, his paintings looked like smears of color................that is how he got the name of being an Impressionist painter! Remember how much Linnea loved visiting his garden and standing on the Japanese Bridge? I wish we could all go there. Good job is making the tissue paper stand up so the lily looks 3D and not flat! Have fun with your beautiful project. Mr. Monet would be so very proud of your art, just like I am! You sure have grown a lot this year as an artist yourself!

It seems that you do know the different between a "freeform" shape and a "geometric" shape. Remember a freeform shape can go from here to there and everywhere. Freeform shapes are the shapes that YOU create! What fun is that!. Geometric shapes like circles, squares and triangle have their place but the freeform shapes that you create are GREAT!

WOW, your drawing skills are really improving. You drew some AWESOME hearts all by yourself. Good for you. Did you like making and painting with the color PINK? I know you did. Remember, when you add white to a color with paint, the color gets lighter. Red changes to PINK. What fun is that? Keep up the very good work.

What a great job you did on your Chinese New Year Dragon Puppet! You are really getting better at coloring and cutting! That is a big step! I love your colors and patterns. You have achieved the standards of creating a puppet, understanding how certain images and items are used by different cultures. I know you loved seeing the movie on the giant dragon puppets in their New Year Day parades. Wonderful work. Keep it up.

I hope your field trip to the Pumpkin Patch today was as great as your imagination was when creating these fantastic drawings!!! I know you can now add some interesting comments here about what you learned and what you saw. Do your pumpkins look like the real thing????? I sure think they do. What fantastic scarecrows! Remember the song too. There was an old scarecrow hanging around. He had a stick up his back to keep him from falling down. He loved to wiggle and he loved to shake. And under the hot hot sun, he would surely bake. Go scarecrow go, go scarecrow go, go scarecrow go go go go go!

What wonderful work created by all my fantastic and creative Kinders! Look at the amazing composition! Beautiful use of colors too. Putting together geometric shapes to make something NEW! And all by yourself.....GREAT JOB!
Parents, each child had to make sure that no window or roof was the same color as the house. They used their thinking skills when sorting through the materials to make sure they achieved that objective. So proud of each one.
