Max, the use of symmetry is important. Your artwork has good balance and color. Also the absence of color (white space) with the textured black and white works well to equal out the heaviness of the bottom; it also leaves a space for the eye to rest. Can you think of some ways that we use symmetry in life?

Max, I call this your Bumble Bird. It has many things incorporated into the making of your bird that you can use the same techniques for other art pieces. Clay shaping, beads, ribbon, wire, color and texture. It's amazing how those items formed (as if your bird is going to tip toe away), can make it come to life just as Bob Ross's paintings do when he paints. Keep up your creativity. We enjoy seeing it.

Maxwell the intricate texture and variety of sizes you used on the owl's winter feathers against the lightness of the softly falling snow looks makes for an interesting picture. Very nice!

Max, good job on shading the right side of your pumpkins (the side opposite of where the sun is shining) and highlighting the left side of the pumpkins where the light would be shining on them. Highlighting and shadowing creates depth and dimension in your artwork so that the picture does not appear flat. Nice job.

Maxwell, your Eric Carle Still Life has a jaunty air. Congratulations on this quality piece of work.

The Four of Hearts - Max did you know that four of us friends entered a TV essay contest of why our friendships were so special. We titled it "The Four of Hearts." Pop took a picture to send in while we all held a big heart umbrella in front of us. Even though we were beat out by The Five of Hearts, it didn't matter. Friendships are what your Four of Hearts artwork exemplifies to me.

Max this reminds me years ago when I was a make up artist. We girls went caroling after work. My gloves only sometimes matched, my socks never matched. Mascara ran down my face and the paper was wet and unreadable. It didn't matter that we couldn't sing because we had so much fun. It was the friendship and experience that mattered.

This is fun. It reminds me of face painting for Halloween and watching the old Munster's show and Frankenstein movie. The spider and bow tie makes an added touch.

Max how blissful of your art piece "If Snow Were In Color". What vision to a kaleidoscope of winter it would be!
