How did you create your clay mask? Did you use your own face or another type form. My first thought when viewing your mask was that it looked like an archive form an ancient dig. Like a mask used for a specific ceremony. I like the hat with buttons-like circles topped with a pompom and the curly brown fringe of hair. The face looks "surprised". Is it caused by the red slash on the right cheek? This surely was a fun project. -- Betsy

Elliot, this is beautiful. I immediately thought of a lovely brooch of many jewel stone colors. There are red rubies, blue sapphires, purple amethyst, and yellow diamonds. I like the way you outlined each color with black and created different sizes and shapes. -- Betsy

Elliot, Your flowers are wonderful. I like the off-center placement of the vase. The rose flower with the falling petal balances the composition. The color of the vase on the darker table top color is perfect. The deep blue background color compliments the vase of flowers. Your art work offers the viewer a lovely feeling of quiet calm.
