Wow----this is fabulous. Looks like a vehicle for a "wild ride" Disney movie. Sort of an insect-car-one-wing-plane. Like designs and colors. Am in a dither but hope to have things in hand enough Wednesday night to clean place up a bit. Leaving for Huntsville Thursday morn. Cheers me up to see your art work. I Love You, Mimi xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxox -- Cynthia/ Mimi

Hi---commented on the colored piece, but nice to see these other works. Are these how you arrived at the one with color or are they different stand-alone pieces??? Sort of think it might be how you got to the colored one, but you know how much I like things in just black and white. In other comment I asked if this combination of media had a simple name? Don't think I've seen anything like it. Again, sure wish I could take this class with you. I Love, You, Mimi xoxoxoxoxoxoxo -- Mimi

This is great even viewed on my phone. Tried to send comment with phone and it wouldn't "go". Am at library and can see work better. Can't imagine putting all the media together and have it come out so beautifully. Must have taken a lot of planning. Does this combination of media have a simple name??? What a fun class. Thanks agin for sharing your art projects. I Love You, Mimi xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxxo -- Mimi

Makes me think of summer and visiting with you. The cute expression on alligator is my favorite, but manatees and surf board are really neat too. Hope you will soon make a torn-paper collage and can give me some tips to get started. Always nice to see your work. I Love You, Mimi xoxoxoxoxoxox -- Mimi

This is cool. Since I have a paper fetish, wonder where you got the papers to fill the circles??? Did you paint the paper yourself? Great colors and designs. You are doing so many fascinating projects. It's a joy to be able to see your pieces. Thanks. Love You Bunches, Mimi xox -- Mimi

Well, once again I am blown away but not surprised. Am getting used to seeing extraordinary, imaginative, colorful, exciting, fanciful, amazing, fabulous, interesting, creative, experimental, and fun art works. Eight grade is usually sort of a drag, but not with this class and your talents. Keep having fun with all these media. I Love You, Mimi -- Mimi

Gosh, I've not checked e-mails in a while and missed all your great art pieces. This is so happy feeling and colorful. You make me want to get out my paints. Just my imagination is not as wonderful as yours, but it might come with practice and learning just to let go. Sure have enjoyed your art class this year. You have a very good teacher and she has as excellent student. I Love You, Mimi xoxoxoxoxxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxox -- Mimi

Saw about 12 Henry Moore sculptures in a museum garden while visiting Uncle David in January. Was nice to see so much of his work, but like yours better. His had no color! Wish this class was not ending. Love and Hugs, Mimi xoxoxoxoxxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo -- Mimi

Wow----this is fantastic looking. What in the world is "Percolated Art" ??? Is it done digitally? How can it look so much like you? Ask you teacher if she has workshops for older people. Your work has all been just amazing. Love You Bunches, Mimi xoxoxoxoxoxox -- Mimi

Hi---perspective is tough. You've got it. Like all your colors too. Makes the building-scape more exciting. Missed getting a comment on your popcorn shading project. Nice. Thought it was interesting in that one could look at it and see different things----like looking at clouds. Wish you could have summer school with your current art teacher. I Love You, Mimi -- Mimi

It took me a minute to see the "other image" in the popcorn kernel, but once I figured it out, I was like "this is really neat!" Good job! -- Laura

Interesting but tedious. Wasn't it Serrate (sp) who started pointilism? Best use is that handprint-moveable-pins-thing. Maybe you'll be assigned to do one in color Do like way dots of color change when placed next to a different color dot. I'll be sad when this class comes to an end. Love You, Mimi -- Mimi/Cynthia

Really like this one. Of course, I have a paper fetish anyway, but this is very well done. What sort of instructions did the teacher give you? Can you teach me to do some of these methods? The bright colors and interesting headdresses (sp) remind me a bit of the Publeoan Solstice dancers I saw in Santa Fe. Also has an African flavor. NIce balance of shapes and colors in the background too. Bright and happy movement. -- Mimi

Wow---this looks like something in a fan museum. Guess am thinking about that as went to an art museum in Santa Fe that had a traveling exhibit of Japanese kites. What does it say??? Very elegant. Makes me want to put on a kimono. Love and Hugs, Mimi xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxxoxoxoxoxooxxo -- Mimi

You have a natural eye for composition. This is well designed and the eye moves through the sculptures nicely. Your Dad was very good at sculpting even when he was only 6 years old. You got some great genetics from everyone.....and genetics are important but they are not destiny. Practice, practice, practice is the key to anything. You are fortunate to know this from your gymnastics. Love You Bunches, Mimi xoxoxoxoxoxxooxxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxooxoxxooxoxoxxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxooxxoxoxoxoxoxoxoox -- Mimi

This is very clever and well drawn. Did your teacher give you ideas to choose from or did you come up with it yourself? You also incorporated good design elements in the drawing. Such a treat to see your work. Love, Mimi xoxoxoxxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxox -- Mimi

Fabulous, happy colors and creative images. Nice combination of words and painting. Very imaginative. We went to see drawings by Goya and other Spanish artists at the big Santa Fe Museum of Art. It was very interesting, but did not give me a happy feeling like your work does. -- Mimi

Of course the first thing I noticed was the jellies. Especially enjoyed this one as it expresses emotions. Would like to know what you were feeling when you drew it. A real artist always tells a story or shares emotions. This is why I'm just an illustrator. Love, Mimi -- Cynthia Mimi

This is really fascinating. Nice balance. Have found that negative space is much more important than one would at first think. Sometimes I draw the negative space and then let the positive image just show up. Fun and actually easier---at least for me---but then I do many things sort of backwards. Sure enjoying getting to see what you are doing in class. Love, Mimi xox -- Mimi
