Ben, I love your amphibian creature. It appears to be in water or an egg?? Is it a crocodile, an alligator or a creature from the dark lagoon? Have you given it a name? I would suggest Harry or Clyde as good names. I hope that it doesn't start moving around and crawl out of the picture!! Yipes! Love you. Nana -- Nana

Ben, This is rather amazing. Seems that you have Christmas on the brain. Well, the monster is scary and the Christmas tree seems to be a little lost. Poor thing. It must be Santa Claus off to the left of the picture saying ho ho ho???? I see that Ben is written in cursive. Did you do that? If so, good for you. Very nice hand writing. Ben, WOW. Wonderful design and colors. It doesn't seem that you have been in school long enough to already have a great start on art. I like the way that you have colored the red and black against the blue and green background that makes the red and black ball have a 3D appearance. Great technique!! Can't wait to see you. Dear Ben, I left one comment about your art, but it seems to have gotten lost. So, I'm leaving a second comment. WOW!!! Nice job. Good color and balance.......especially the colorful yarn design in the center. You have a very good eye for color and design. What I see are boys and a dinner plate with portions set out. Is that correct? I think that Crockett School is doing a very good job in the art department. I am very proud of two of the best students........Ben Woodruff and Will Woodruff. Keep up the good work. Dear Ben......WOW!! Really interesting weaving. I love the center design of the multicolored yarn. Nice focus point and blend of colors. Draws the eye right in to the central point of the weaving. Good touch. Am I wrong in interpreting the design as a plate with divisions of food and two boys? Very nice job. You have a good eye for color and design. Dear Ben, As always, your art is GREAT. You must have been studying about the Statue of Liberty in New York Harbor. I see from the fire works that you must have had the 4th of July celebration in mind. Very very good. You've captured it all including the buildings in New York city and the ships in the harbor. Bravo!! Did you know that the Statue of Liberty was a gift from the country of France to the United States of America and when it got here from France it had to be assembled piece by piece. I forget how long it took, but it was a big job. GP and I have been thinking of your family and hoping that the cold and nasty weather is gone so that you can go outside to play. Dear Ben, I L-O-V-E the picture. Very beautiful colors, good arrangement and creative. I would love to have it to hang on my wall. It would make me happy to look at it and think of you every time. The flowers reflect the light of the moon as to the colors. I like the blue color that you have with the yellow and orange and the green, as well. Very nicely done. We're proud of you!!! Dearest Ben, We received the copy of your Starry Night picture and want you to know how wonderful it is. I really, really, really like it. In fact, I'd like to have it to frame if you don't have anyone else that you would prefer to give it to. Perhaps your mother and dad might like to keep it for your family. We received a painting from Will several weeks ago which was outstanding and hope that we will get another from him soon. In your paintingt I like the black background, the green of the grass and the blossoms on the three. The moon is spectacular. All in all.........great job! Thanks for thinking of us. Dearest Ben, I saw your latest artwork Van Gogh's sunflowers and I LOVE it. Very well done with a beautiful background.
