After a short absence to explore other subjects, Chase returns to the sunflower series that he began in kindergarten. The artist's style has matured nicely since the previous installment in the series. His palette, subdued since the days of "Dancing Giraffe", is reminiscent of Chagall's stained glass. The juxtaposition of the potted sunflower and the blue sky inspires contemplation of true freedom. A lovely piece, Chase! We can't wait to what you'll do next.
