I love this image, do modern in its use of arbitrary colors. Nice focal point with super bright yellow lips.

Per Sasha these are patterns of the Earth created by humans. For example, the green circle represents sprinkler areas. The blue square below shows flowing rivers and other squares show grass and corn fields.

I always love seeing your artwork Sasha! I will have Grampa put up the art frames soon for you and Logan, Liam and Natalia... I remember this Andy guy :)...Grampa and I saw a movie about him, I believe it was called "Rivers and Tides" or something like that...I will see if I can find it on Netflix and we can watch it together sometime if you like. Hope you're staying warm and having fun with your dad! Love, Gramma

Sasha's story about the painting: "Once I was walking on the beach, and I saw really cool seashell. When I listened to it, I could hear the ocean. I took it home, and now it is in our shell collection. PS. This story is a fantasy."

Sasha's story: "Whenever it is Christmas in MN, Sasha always looks out of the window and looks at the willow tree. Whenever it is Spring, it has a few pink leaves and stuff. Anyways, and in summer, it's a regular tree, but in the fall a few leaves change their color, and that is why she loves the magic of the willow tree."

Sasha's artist's story: "This girl, Stephanie, had a really big dream to ride in a boat on the great wave. That night, when she went to bed, she woke up in the middle of the night. She woke up not in her bet, BUT...in a BOAT! Her parents were with her and her friends behind her. She asked her parents "Why are we here?" Her parents told her "We heard you say that your biggest dream was to ride the Great Wave!, "So, we are here!"

This is Sasha's dinosaur painting. I love how it can be a really tall legged turtle or a herbivore in Jurassic era all at the same time. Thank you Mrs. Julia for printing awesome greeting cards using Sasha's artwork!!!!

I have the original art work for this! Some day I'd like it printed on canvas. Very appropriate for her background of Easter European family's staple of root vegetables: carrots, beets, radishes, everything that Sasha does not wish to eat herself!

This is one of my favorite paintings! Thank you Mr. Bob and Mrs. Julia for 2014 Christmas presents. Sasha rocks her shirt and I enjoy my mug!!!!

Sasha's note: "The Red Dog Red, was supposed to meet Blue-Dog-Blue, in the forest for their camp, out with their other friends. Red Dog Red asked "May I, please, take a walk?". Blue Dog Blue, said: "Yes, you may, BUT, don't get lost!" "OK!," replied Red-Dog-Red. He knew a great part of the forest that he loved to hike in. He took a long, relaxing walk. Looked at pretty trees. Suddenly, he saw a floating blue-berry, and three floating bananas, and one floating cherry. He said: "Yep, this is the place! Since, everybody forgot to bring their fruit, so, there are floating ones instead!" He went and got Blue-Dog-Blue and his other friends. They camped there. They all had wonderful dreams. This is a day "I'll never forget," all of his friends thought."

Sasha's notes: "This is Tweedy! She went to the zoo. She checked out a bunch of cool animals. She first checked out the zebras (because her room in MN is TOTALLY zebra), she had a zebra painting, and a zebra blanket, and zebra socks. And then, she checked out capybaras, the cutest, but tallest rodents that ever lived. But not the ONLY cutest one, there's a bunch of other cute rodents. Anyway, when she went to the path of the lions, she ran into a peacock; it was standing on a lump of green grass. And, he had lovely blue eyes. We decided to name him "Tweedy" because he liked to make noises around us. Sasha imagined that he was talking to her like "be my friend, walk with me down the road, so other people can check out the peacock." From that day, she never forgot Tweedy. She always brought it up at dinner, breakfast and lunch. So, she never forgot him, neither did her heart."

Sasha's story: " It was a nigh time. Her father left her go to a sleepover/birthday party at her friend Petra's house. She heard a "ho, hoo-hoo," and she thought that there must be an owl nearby. So, she looked up at the branch above her, and there, she saw a beautiful blue and purple owl. It was the most cutest thing she ever saw. So, she watched it fly away into a dark, dark, blue sky. As she watched the moon go up and the owl go by, she wanted to remember him for a long time, and she did, she never forgot about him. And, a few weeks later, she heard a "hoot" in the sky, and she thought that "my dear owl has come to visit me," she thought happily. From that day on, she loved owls and always thought that her dear owl would come. And he usually did!"

Sasha's story: "This painting of the bumble bee symbolizes a short story. One sunny day, Sasha went out to play in the garden. It was Father's day and she wanted to pick a bouquet of flowers for him. When she wanted to pick out her favorite blue flowers, she SAW a BEE! She did not freak out. In fact, she loved bees. So, Sasha asked the bee "May I borrow one of your flowers?" The bee took off to another flower. "Thank you!," she said while watching the bee fly away into the lovely blue sky. Sasha thought to herself, what a nice bee! So, she picked the last flowers to pick the boucket, and she had an awesome day with her father."
