Ella, I Love it! I do a Snow Pal Chalk story with my first graders. They listen to a story and draw with chalk, certain shapes that go with the story. They end up drawing a snowman! Would you like me to send you the story? Love and miss you, Aunt Judy

Ella, We love your snow-people! Too bad we didn't have good packing snow when you were here so that we could make a snow-family in our front yard. We have a few feet of snow now so we could make a snow-crowd.

Ella, I love your snowmen! Hopefully Robby, Gregory, Kevin and Dylan can build one this Saturday when they come to visit! Most of our snow is gone. Love you! Aunt Judy

Shapes are everywhere in our drawings. And we are learning how to look for shapes in everything we see and draw. Another thing with shapes we can 'tell' a story with our shapes. One is in front and others are behind. This 'telling' we learn how to draw pictures with more interest.

Dragons were fun to draw for our next lesson in lines. Here we begin to work on the coloring with markers. I am looking for bright full colors. Watch out for little white gaps in your color. The goal is to have solid shapes of color. And when the marker isn't giving you complete coverage-----TOSS IT! We want great colors for our dragons!

Welcome to Art Program of the Presidio School with Mrs Sherry Harig. Exploring Lines and how to use them in a drawing has been fun learning to 'visually communicate'.
