Joshua, your color choices are bold, with the body of the duck contrasting well. Beak colors blend a bit together in some areas. Shape overall is well tessellated. Good detail in front and back parts of duck - the middle part is a bit plain as you mentioned - perhaps its wing? You demonstrated good understanding of the tools and techniques used.
