Hi Cale, Like all the different textures you have in this picture. Even the stripes give the appearance of texture. Did you glue the items on the paper to make the texture? Wish I could reach out and touch the picture because I know that the shapes would all feel different to the touch--some soft, some hard, some smooth, some rough, some flat, some raised. Hi Cale! Your Jungle picture is terrific. Like the way you made different shades of green just by adding a little black to the green. Especially like the "eyes" that look like they are hiding in the leaves. By painting the green leaves and the eyes on purple paper, it makes it look like it is nighttime and that the eyes are glowing or shining in the dark. Love, Grandma Judy and Grandpa Frank -- Judy

Cale, We like your family portrait. I can tell who each person is suppose to be by the size you made them and by the clothes you have them wearing. It must have taken alot of work to cut out all those pieces and put them together to make a picture. This is a great picture of your brothers and your mom and dad. Cale, We like your Rudolf the red-nosed reindeer. I bet you had fun drawing him and thinking about Christmas coming. Especially like the blue sky that is filled with snowflakes. It must be a snowstorm, which means it would be hard for Santa and the other reindeer to see where they are going, but because Rudolf had a bright, red nose, he will light the way for them. Cale, Your picture is very pretty. I really like the way the colors of blue, green, yellow, and purple all blend together. It looks as if you are standing in front of a river and looking across at the trees or hills on the other side. After you drew the picture, did you use crayons or paint?
