Sophie, I LOVE this piece. Eric Carl is one of my favorite writer/illustrator. He has a wonderful museum in/around Northampton, MA. If you are ever up in that area, it is worth stopping in. Love you Sophie and congratulations on your school acceptance. : )

Sophie, I love this picture. The birches are beautiful. I like the way you made the bark so soft looking, and shaded. they look like real trees--good job! I love the colorful bushes on the other side of the lake. It looks like Fall! Great picture. Keep up the good work.

Hi Sophie, I have been viewing your wonderful artwork. I am amazed at your artistic talent, and love your creativity. It is so funny how you use the symmetry of your name to make a picture.The reason being, is that is what I use to do at summer school when I was your age. I didn't use my name, but I would start with a curly cue, and then I would draw the exact opposite on the other side. the lines were very curvy, and then they would come together in the middle, much like yours. I never saw anyone doing anything like that, so imagine how surprised I was to see my own grandaughter doing the same type of design. Keep up the good work--I LOVE IT! Gram
