The shading and value in the petals are very nice, and I like the colors that you chose. My favorite part of this artpiece is how you chose to use color only one large triangle while using a gray monotone for the rest of the piece. It highlights that specific area and draws your eyes toward it.

I find that the two different color blues in the sky attract my attention. I think thats really good how you did that because while looking at the background, you are able to absorb the whole picture at once.

Your artwork is really symbolic, it shows who really who you are, and is well done for a first year's self-portrait. I know you'll do exceptionally well in seventh grade!

I like how the two cats you drew and then painted are similar but still not completely the same. Also I like how the background makes the cats pop but yet the background is still very pretty with the contrasting colors. Another thing I like about your art piece is how you used your space wisely.
