These turned out great, first graders! Remember overlapping and diagonals. Also horizon line behind your objects. I hope you have a lovely summer and hope to see you ALL in second grade. We are going to make more beautiful things. YOU ROCK!!! Love, Mrs. Keefer
A special thanks to Tulasi's mom for the multi-cultural talk on Rangoli-Mandala during the holidays! Also thanks to Tulasi's mom for donating all of the beans! Wow, we are lucky to have so many loving parents dedicate their time and talents to our K-2 fine arts program, and this is a great example!
First graders, you TOTALLY rocked your fine motor skills on these works!
Dear Kindergarten students,
Our Monet water lily studies have helped you to REALLY learn how to see your shapes. These turned out great...I am so proud of y'all!
Love, Mrs. Keefer
Hi Kate! I like the purple ALOT and I also like the many layers of red-orange. This picture has a lot of depth, which means that if you stare at it you can see some things deep inside of the colors. Try it and tell me what you see. ;)
Dear Parents of Kinder Students: SSSHhhh! These colorful robots would make great magnet, note cards or t-shirt gift for the holidays. We are having so much fun in art class. Warm regards, Mrs. Keefer
Dear Kindergarten students, We will be looking at these works during a "critique" which is when we will look closely at how we made the art and then give each other pats on the back (YAY!) plus say one thing that may help the work if we could do it over again. See y'all in art class! Love, Mrs. Keefer
Hi Kate! I really like your robot's mouth and eyes. They really stand out because you used different colors. I also like the way you cut and glued your robot's hair. Excellent job!
