I love, love, love this artwork ! ! The symmetry (ask Mama about the words you don't know) of the white and green boxes solidify the whole piece while the asymmetry of the black, white, blue and pink shapes seem to float around giving interest and action to what could be just a flat piece of paper. The black shapes give the viewer a sense of depth while at the same time draws attention to the "eyes" staring out saying "Look what I can do!" And then, on top of it all is this wonderful, confident figure with the arms curved to place hands on the hips and the slightly bent legs looking playful but yet strong enough to tie all of the linear shapes into a very thought provoking and beautiful piece of art.
