I am enjoying the sense of movement in your tree. Usually I like a heavier application of watercolor, but for this technique the watery quality of the paint has a nice atmospheric quality that allows the color of the leaves to shine through.

You are right. Having the penguin looking down at something is the only way you would see the length of the beak. This is much more realistic than the way I was drawing them before.
