My first thought was of a medieval breast plate of ornate design. There is interesting simple lines with exquisite detail which are drawn out with the positive use of violet,blue , green and white.The black background gives substance to the colours, the white refines the simplicity but also draws your attention to the cross in the centre ,showing purity at the heart of the image. The colours blend really well especially the violet and white shaded lines that have a tinge of blue . A lot of colour planning went into creating the images symbols and detailed lines. Although the colours used are harmonious, it is a very thought provoking piece of art work I think its great

You have captured the dimension with the criss cross work and shading. I like the use of blue, it reflects the dimensions as well as drawing you in to focus on the oval shaped , lidded bowl. Good use of light and dark hues It has a stimulating quality Excellent work Maitland

Maitland this work can have a duality of expression for the veiwer. It uses the four primary colours The Blue can either be soothing or cold but its usually mentally calming and soothing. The use of Red draws the veiwer in, as its warmth and exticement can be stimulating Its a powerful colour. The negative aspect would be seen as aggresion and demanding Its broken by the use of Yellow which is the colour of optimsim and confidence so its lifts self esteem and spirit . Yellow can be negative with anxiety replacing the self esteem. Green is a restful colour which also draws your eye into the artwork, its peaceful harmony and balance is reassuring but again from a negative aspective it can be seen as stagnation The slight blend between the red and green looks like Violet which is a colour of spiritual awarenss and truth , from a negative aspect it can mean introspection.
