There's something about this guy just sitting there that really affects me. Maybe it is your success capturing an expectant dog's posture, and the way the tail curls in a laconic manner. I think it is the way the dog's head is angled upwards, just slightly, that creates a little narrative flow here that differentiates this from a less impressive sketch or doodle: there is something going on here, the dog is waiting for something to happen, or is carefully watching events that are outside the frame. This one is also one of my favorites. -- Bill
