Hi Madeleine, I know why this snowman looks so happy. He thinks that winter is never going to end this year, and that he will not have to worry about melting! However, it makes me smile to see his adorable face and especially his cute hat and scarf. Your artwork always makes me feel good! Love, Grandma

That's the happiest looking snowman I have ever seen. Well done.

Dear Madeleine, This is an extraordinary piece of sculpture! I am so impressed by its shape, with its curled edges and "coiled" midsection, and I love the colors, especially your use of the bold yellow and red/orange contrasting with the more subtle blues and purples. I really want to see this sculpture in person, so that I can view it from all angles and further appreciate its complexity. Good work, Madeleine! Love, Grandma

This underwater view is one of my favorites among your work this year because it's a scene that I can enjoy time after time without ever growing tired of the image. I keep discovering new features every time I view it. Exceptional.

My Darling Madeleine, Your exquisite picture makes me think of Grandpa Russ enjoying all the sights of the ocean while he was snorkeling, which was his very favorite activity in the world. I believe that Grandpa's spirit is still there with his beloved fish and sea creatures, and I know how much he would have loved this beautiful representation of the undersea world that he so cherished. The fish on the left is so colorful that I want to reach out and touch it, and the one on the right seems like the spirit of a fish, perhaps like Grandpa's spirit. I can't wait to see this artwork in person. With love always, Grandma

Dear Madeleine, I would love to see this piece of art in person -- could it be worn as a necklace? It reminds me of a fine piece of jewelry, and I am really impressed with the use of the black background with the colored decorations. Are they paper decorations or colored stones? All your artwork is so interesting and original. I truly appreciate your imaginative works. With love, Grandma

Dear Madeleine -- This Radial Design is Beautiful! It suggests many things: a set of gears with a center cam; a Mexican cloak; the sky, the grass, and the sun. It is very impressive! Love, Grandpa

Dear Madeleine, This is the most delicious cake I ever saw! It is exactly the kind of cake I want for my birthday. It appears so real that I get hungry just looking at it. It also looks very appetizing on that lovely cake plate. I am so impressed by your wonderful talent. How did you ever create such an artistic culinary masterpiece? I love all your artwork, and I can't wait to see your next masterpiece! With Love, Grandma

Dear Madeleine -- Scrumptious! Taking preeminent position, with bold colors, the cake draws one's focus (and makes you hungry!). The background enhances - particularly the green at the top - it acts to enhance the prime focus on the cake. Definitely, another favorite! (Let me know what the Title "Craypas Cakes" means.) Love, Grandpa

Dear Madeleine -- You are a budding artist! This is a great way to express yourself. I have 2 favorites -- Starry Night and the paper Collage. Starry Night evokes emotion, a sense of beauty and a sense of expectation for the coming day. The paper Collage is unique because of its art form of applying paper cutouts -- and its brilliant color and form remind me of circus clowns. Love, Grandpa

Of course, your Starry Night is wonderful, and I agree, but I also really like your Collage. The color palette and placement of shapes just makes me feel happy.
