I love the way the flower appears to be climbing. The swirlies make it playful.

It is interesting that you chose two colors that have traditionally represented royalty - purple and gold. I see trees or mountain ranges reflected in water. I guess you never know what other people will see in your art, especially if you don't title it!

Josie, love your style! The red squares are interesting, the texture looks a little like fish skeletons - am I right? The colors you chose remind me of the seaside- water/coral/seaweed/ shells. I looked up Matisse's Goldfish and I think you did a really nice job of reinterpreting it.
