Congratulations!. You have achieved several standards with this one project. First you used math concents when creating your quilt squares. Remember, the standard of "symmetry" was achieved by the way you balanced your "shapes". We did not have to also balance color. You chose any colors BUT you had to keep the shapes symmetrical. Good job. You also found out that Quilt Making is an ART that uses lots of MATH! Beautiful patterns in each one of your pattern squares. And finally, you created a successful "collage" (a project that is made by cutting and pasting) You should be very proud of this project. Be sure to add a statement and tell me what you liked the best about your beautiful and colorful quilt.

Beautiful work. Your monochromatic value scale painting makes a wonderful background for your winter tree. You achieved the standard of foreground, middle ground, and background with the correct placement of the tree, fence, birds, and bright color on the value scale. The snow really appears to be catching in all the angles on the tree and fence. Good job! Keep up the great work. Your artistic skills are improving with each project!

Learning how to show distance on a 2D sheet of paper has its challenges. Did your snowmen/women seem to go back into the distance? If so, you achieved the standard of using 2 drawing techniques to give this illusion. One was to make 1 large, 1 medium, and 1 small. Next was using placement on the paper. Did you place the large one at the bottom, the medium one in the middle, and the small one at the top? If so you also achieved the standard and good work. Use these techniques are you continue to develop your drawing skills and your art will get better and better. You can also add a statement about your art. That would let me also know that you truly understand these concepts. Great job. Keep up the good work.

These designs are simply BEAUTIFUL! I wish we could open up a WPE store and sell your fantastic designs. Maybe someday you may become a designer and work in the textile industry. I see many budding artists here. Great work! Enjoy your AWESOME creations.
