Your cross is beautiful, Ben. I like all the different textures you used. I see macaroni, peas, rice and black beans. Your design is wonderful. It sure looks like it was a lot of hard work, and you certainly did a wonderful job.

Love this piece, Ben. The blue square sets off the whole creation. The houses are very interesting and different. You'll have to share with me the story that goes with this picture.

You did a great job, but you will have to explain the art lesson to Nana for this one. I'm confused about a "valentine" that looks ferocious..

Can't wait to meet this guy in person, Ben. He looks like he could get into lots of mischief when you bring him home. I like all the materials you used to make him come to life.

WOW Ben! This is the coolest picture ever!!!! Love, love, love the colors. I'm so used to seeing the starry night pictures of the Nativity scene...your rendition really makes me think about the sun setting on the night of Jesus' birth. Very, very nice and so peaceful. We'll see you tomorrow! Love, Mimi and Grand-Dad

Spooky skeleton. Great Halloween picture!
-- Mona/Nana

It's so nice to see a happy skeleton...is he happy because Hurricane Sandi didn't pick him up and fly him to Antartica ? Or is he happy that Halloween wasn't cancelled after all. Hope you enjoy trick or treat this year ! What are you and Patrick going to be? Love you and see you soon! Love, Mimi

This monster is pretty scarey...he looks like one of the monsters in the book called Where the Wild Things Are. Uncle Chris' first grade teacher read that book in class and he was so frightened, he had nightmares for weeks!!! If this guy is in your closet, I would have Dad call the exterminator!!!! Love you Ben...great job. Mimi

What a beautiful nativity, Ben. I love the rubber bands for the straw bottom of the stable....and the kings in the background. Did you know when you made Jesus' blanket that the different tribes of Israel had some of their own distinctive weavings just like the kilts of the Scottish? Once again, you did a marvelous job. Love that creative spark in you!
