Alex, I am so impressed by your artist statement. You really understood the subject matter "friendship" and how to incorporate this theme into your own original work of art. The mending of the heart is so moving. The idea of something that could be hurt so many times, yet still can be loved is such a true statement. Great job symbolizing this idea with the lines and shapes! I wish we had more time during class that you could finish your work. I hope this summer you are able to finish it and maybe send me a picture so I can see the final masterpiece!
