And now you've entered a new medium! I'm wondering if this is clay? If so, I wish I could talk to you about throwing vs. Molding - my favorite is free form clay work! Like this!

This latest effort is terrific Satchel! I have this habit of writing notes each day, now my notes are almost always on the cards with your drawings - my customers and friends notice!

Satchel, you know I love your artwork! But I have to say, this portrait is truly special and I'm so very impressed. I wish I were there to here you say how you captured the likeness - did you use a mirror? or perhaps a photo? Whichever - - even if from memory, it's a lovely piece of work! Congrats and I hope you will continue to enjoy drawing, painting and experimenting with your ART!! love you, jude

Satchel ~ the collage is fun to see - wondering if this was put together at home or school. I know your mom keeps that wonderful box of remnants and leftover goodies to be used in crafts. Nice composition to this piece, from the stripes on the animal to the "terrain" below and sun above! Good work. Some artists say the discipline of working steadily is the hardest part - you seem to be showing signs of good discipline! Proud of you,

Hi Satchel -- Looks like a CAMEL to me -- a wire sculpture! GOOD WORK!

Satchel: I like every one of your drawings, but this newest one especially appeals to me . . . it is "stylie" as Lizzie might say. Also, black and white is very interesting - light, somehow. I meant to comment on your first black and white and say it reminded me of a Bakuba African type print. Now to order some notecards! I send notes every day to clients and customers, so these will be fun to have on my shelf! I don't if you know, but JUDE went to the Louisville School of Art and at times thought I might be an artist! Alas, I sell houses as you know, but still enjoy drawing and painting. I am very proud of you and your many talents. Jude, Grandmother and FRIEND!!!

wow Satchel!!!This is so fun to see all that you can do with your talent. I love this! What kind of wire did you use? Maybe I can have the kids at Churchill Downs make a horse!!Wouldn't that be fun!! Seeing your work makes us feel like we are closer and not so far away. Thanks! Love, xxoo Grandma
