Dear Reina, Your watercolor picture of the wonderful turtle and friends is spectacular! The different gradients of color, your sea "wash" and the lines on your turtle illustrate your true talent. I can see the sea plants floating in the water and your use of more vibrant colors in the foreground adds to the depth of your painting. What a year! What medium do you like working with the most? Reina, I love the 3-D look to your art. And how clever to show your giraffe poking through the sky to get to her food. Your proportions are so true and as ever, your colors are vibrant. Dear Reina, Wow! I love the bold colors. It reminds me me of a jungle, with bright green vines growing on cliffs surrounding the sides of a waterfall. The pool at the bottom had lily pads floating on the surface. How close am I? I was always told that art means different things to the person looking at it. Dear Reina, I love your tree! It makes me wonder who has taken shelter underneath it (for with leaves it would provide a wonderful canopy) or what birds have nested in it throughout the years. Chalk and glue...what a unique combination. The background of the sky makes me think of a sunset during November...it makes me want to search for this great tree. Looking forward to more! Dear Reina, I finally found you! I love the turtle mosaic. We learned so much about this remarkable animal while we were in New Mexico. Like the South Dakota Sioux Indian, the Pueblo Indian revere it for its endurance, being so close to the earth, its colors...and you seem to have captured all the elements of him in a truly authentic and natural way.
