Hi Griffin, This is another lovely piece of artwork. I like how you created texture in the background. It looks like you did that using a 'rubbing' technique. I love flowers so I really like the subject matter. You arranged the flowers into a wonderfully interesting composition. I like that there are short flowers and tall flowers and a variety of colors of flowers. You have a great eye for art. Keep up the good work. I love you very much, Aunt Margot.

Terrific Job on the snow scene Griffin! It makes me want to go play in the snow. Catching snowflakes on your tongue, making snow angels, walking in the winter, snow shoeing, and skiing are some of my favorite winter activities. It's a wonderful winter painting. Great Job. I'm looking forward to seeing your next painting. Love you, Aunt Margot

Great perspective!! You apparently took special care to make the boats further away proportionally smaller. This is an advanced art topic and you did an amazing job on it. Kudos to you!! I like the boats, water and the impending grey sky. Looks like the boats are being warned to wrap up the fun and head for home. This implys mood which is another advanced art topic. Great job Griffin!!! I love you and I love seeing your work. Hugs, Aunt Margot -- Margot

Another great piece of artwork Griffin. Are you studying trees outside to learn how they grow? Looks like your tree is growing into a night sky. I like how you've curled the branches of your tree. That is true artistic license. Also appears a nest of branches are on the ground and are providing a sturdy base from which your tree can grow. I love the work you do. Good job Griffin! -- Margot

Hi Griffin, You are learning about one of my favorite artists. Van Gogh's art career was only 10 years long. He painted for 6 years and drew for 4 years. In just 6 years he painted over 1000 paintings and most of those paintings are now masterpieces. He must have worked diligently to create that many paintings. He didn't paint very many night scenes. Starry Night is special and is his most well-known painting. Van Gogh never knew people liked his artwork. He would put his paintings in a wheel barrow and wheel them down the street to try to give his paintings away free but people didn't take them because his paintings were not common for the time in which he lived. Now however most anyone would want one of his paintings. I like how much movement you can see in his brushstrokes. It's like he makes his paintings come to life. He taught the world a new way to paint. Maybe we can go see one of his paintings sometime in a museum. I think your depiction of Starry Night is beautiful. Aunt Margot
