Uncle Ron and I have planted up to 20 sunflowers around our yard and in our garden. Some are minis, but many are giant sunflowers. I hope our sunflowers grow to be just as beautiful as your drawing!! Thanks for sharing. Love, Aunt Tracy -- TRACY

Kate: as we told you on the phone, Grandma and I really like your newest artwork. It is really neat that you can just barely see the saguaros in the background. We look forward to seeing the original. Love, Grandpa and Grandma -- Terry

What a fun picture!!! Was it one of your favorites to create? The colors are interesting, as is the "texture;" it does not look entirely flat to me... like maybe the seabed is raised? It would be fun to hang in Lucas' room :) Love ya, Aunt Tracy -- Tracy

Kate - A handful of flowers to usher into Spring :) I am looking forward to seeing some flowers pop out of the ground ... hopefully in the next few weeks! I'm curious: did you trace your own hands to create those on the artwork? Love you, Aunt Tracy -- Tracy

Kate, I think this if my favorite piece of art you have done. I would love to wear it on a t-shirt!!! (Tell Daddy for Mother's Day!) You are quite an artist. Your flowers are perfect and your hands look so real. I just love it! Mommy -- Mommy

Kate, your artistic ability continues to amaze me! This is a beautiful interpretation of what keeps us warm during this time of the year. The only thing better than wearing a great pair of mittens is getting a great big bear hug from you! I love you angel! Daddy -- Andrew

Kate - What a perfect piece of art for this time of year :) The mittens remind us all of how snowy and cold it is outside, but the reds and yellows and oranges of the heart suggest warmth and love. I smile just looking at your picture. Thanks for sharing it with me. Love Aunt Tracy -- Tracy

Kate, this is a wonderful Christmas tree! It looks even better than the one we have in our family room! Maybe next year we will have you draw our Christmas tree and hang it on the wall instead of cutting a real one down :) Keep up the great work at school, and thanks for making the Christmas season even better! Love, Daddy
