Dear Rio, This is a really awesome spacescape! If I'm not mistaken, I can see stars and planets, and other cosmic wonders! It looks to me like you used both crayons and watercolors. Rio, I really like your stained glass window! You did a fabulous job of giving those sections between the black lines brilliant color. The blue, purple, and green colors are so beautiful! It looks a lot like the windows at my church, which are particularly lovely when the sun shines through the glass and casts shadows in the room. Hi Rio, I really like your collage called Rousseau's Jungle. You inspired me to find out more about Rousseau's paintings. Did you know that even though Rousseau is famous for his jungle paintings, he never saw a jungle! He never traveled out of the country of France...and there are no jungles in France! Your collage also made me think about the sticker in the front of some of your books at home. Doesn't that sticker have a jungle scene on it? You must really like jungles. Hey Rio -- This is my favorite of your newest paintings. I like it because it has both green and purple. Green is my favorite color, but purple used to be my favorite color. So I'm glad you used them both. And all the colors mixed together remind me of a beautiful fall day. The little dots and splashes of red and green and yellow make me think of leaves falling off the trees in the wind. Keep up the good work, Rio! You are becoming a really wonderful artist! Hello Rio, I think all of your pictures are wonderful and are good for the imagination! I really like your fish tank a lot! It makes me think about fish swimming around in a lake. The apple tree is also especially nice, like going to an orchard and eating apples, or making an apple pie! Keep up the excellent work! Mary
