The cover design of a book is so important in capturing the interest of a potential reader. The design you created would draw me to read this classic science fiction novel.

Your attention to detail with the hairline, the facial features, the shirt buttons, and the bow tie is striking. These details draw the viewer, for us anyway, to the central figure, who reminds us of you! The eyes, eyebrows, nose and mouth are remarkably vivid. Well done, Jake!

Very interesting. My eye flows from one letter to the next. Looks like you are seriously enjoying your art class.

Your choice to incorporate colors from across the GOOGLE letters on the G, under the word SEARCH, make the piece feel cohesive. When we look at this piece, it appears to be flying, with what we see as a red banner flying from the L and the appearance of movement with the design attached to the letter E.

I finally saw the face in this one and the other similar one. Good job!

When I scrolled to this piece, at first I was a bit shocked not expecting to see the glaring teeth!! Then I saw your clay creation and read about the project. At that point I understood. Your clay figure is terrific!! I especially like the color combination!!!! Very very good job!!! (Clap! Clap!!!)

We looked at a hieroglyphic website and found that your symbols represent JAMES! We typed our names in to see symbols for our names. There is something special about seeing one's name represented creatively. Your effort is evident with the very clearly defined lines of the symbols.
