Spring is definitely in the air with this still life you created, Penny! You have included many bright colors, shapes and textures in the glass jar vase full of flowers. I see butterflies and birds in the background, too. Soon, you will see your garden in the front yard come to life as plants and bushes begin to bloom! Very nice work, Penny.

The first thing I noticed about this drawing was the way you drew the girl’s eyes. Instead of looking straight ahead, it seems something has caught her attention that is off to one side. Maybe she sees a friend or maybe she’s thinking about the other objects you drew around her, a rainbow, an animal, maybe a fish. I also like the pencil shading you used to show her face in partial shadow. Very nice work, Penny, and very advanced for your age!
