I feel like I'm in Glacier National Park. I love this, Sophie! I hope you get a chance to do art with Aunt Lou when you're here. She has lots of supplies for you to work with.

Dear Sophia, What a wonderful piece. I think I love this one most of all! It reminds me of some of the places we've been (like the Tetons)! But I see a loon above and the lake and the bear, makes me think of northern Wisconsin, the Smokeys, etc. Very peaceful and serene. Makes me happy. Great job! You are becoming quite the artist! Sophia -- I am just amazed how you continue to grow as an artist. I love the detail, and the subtle ways you use different shapes, sizes, levels, to show the houses and neighborhoods, and THEN you put a super creative, beautiful, interestingly shaped, STRIKING red house in! A great way to have it stand out in so many different ways. Even the title shows how you understand the way an artist can focus on different aspects to a drawing/sketch/painting.
