Bright color story truly lives up to its name. I love how thoughtfully you chose analogous colors—yellow, orange, and red—to create such a powerful and joyful feeling. Those colors work together beautifully and really show how well you understand color relationships. It’s wonderful to see how much care you put into cutting and combining different pictures and papers. That kind of attention to detail and creativity takes patience and imagination. Most of all, I’m so proud that you had fun and feel proud of your artwork—that’s what great art is all about. Keep exploring, creating, and telling your stories through art. You did an amazing job!

What a beautiful job on your Lighthouse painting! I love how you learned to control your brush. Your use of tempera paint, especially the dashes and highlights, shows great attention to detail and creativity. You should be very proud of yourself for trying something new and doing it with so much care. I’m so proud of you, Jackson!

I really like how clearly you explained your thinking behind this project. Choosing a lobster and filling it with detailed, complex patterns shows creativity and patience, and it’s great that you challenged yourself to make the artwork more interesting. I’m especially proud that you recognized what you needed to do to make the project successful—that shows maturity and reflection. Most of all, I love that you enjoyed the process and felt excited about choosing your own animal. Keep having fun with your art and pushing yourself to try new ideas.
