Adelaide, I really like your full moon and full pumpkin. You have shaded them so that we can see they aren’t flat! The way you made the pumpkin ribs shows that you really know squash! The deep night sky colors make me think of northern lights. It is great that your school found a way to share artwork with family, even when we live far away.

I love where your longest line takes me, Adelaide, and its different shades, from thin light gray to thick bold black. Some parts of the curves and squiggles make me think of fossil plants and animals, some parts look like a topo map with mountains. And the big colored shapes might be oceans and tipped up layers of ancient stone. This is just what I imagine. You might have had very different ideas when you made this. That’s the beauty of art—we can see it differently.
