Is this a Mack Ford or is this a long lost Marc Chagall? The two artists have such similar styles! The orange, green, and purple color scheme illustrates the beautiful secondary colors all made by mixing two primary colors. This art student has talent rarely seen in someone so young! This may be too deep for me. Is this symbolic of the hand of God in the upper corner? Is the animal on the journey we call life - always focused on the "hand?" This artist is tapping into something deep within himself to send a message. I will go to the mountaintop retreat and reflect in silence so that I may be able to one day understand his message. This self portrait is quite advanced in that the proportions of head size to torso size and even the appropriate length of the limbs are all correct. It is deeper though, in revealing the emotions of a happy child, and one who is clearly excited about what he is wearing. Picasso could not have done better! Signed, his grandmother

As a professional artist myself, I see a strong composition with this piece. The use of a primary color scheme is a classic choice! The placement of the objects is strong and leads the eye around the canvas. I’d give this piece an A plus!!!
