I really like this piece. The torn paper and layers make it feel full of energy like something is moving like water through the scene. The greens in the background are calming but the darker shape and the eye draw your attention. It feels like you are going on a journey traveling through an adventure. Nice job and keep up the good work.

There’s something wonderfully noir about the way this art treats a simple candle—as if even a lone flame can’t escape the drama of shadow and light. The chiaroscuro folds around it. The candle’s rays carve out pockets of illumination. The glow reveals textures and shows one small light source holding its ground against shadows. This artwork reminds me of the film Rebecca (1940). Beautiful!

Your piece sounds beautifully composed. The leafless tree surrounded by vines creates a nice contrast almost like nature framing him in quiet reverence.
