Wow Sophia! Look at that big heart - that is so very true about you! You have a big caring heart and you always love to help others! I see very light colors, light colors, and more values all making a monochromatic color scheme! Mono means ONE and chroma means COLOR! So monochromatic means ONE COLOR! :-)

Sophia - I knew RIGHT away who inspired this work - because I love DONUTS and CAKE and things that repeat like that! What is your favorite type of donut? I love cake donuts with frosting! Especially from Jack Frost! Remember when we made Grandma a cake for her birthday? That was SO much fun and SO Yummy. Grandma was SO surprised and excited about it!!!

Sophia - Piet Mondrian is a great artist! Did you know he started his art making painting realistic trees? Over time those paintings became simpler and flatter looking and looking like simple trees. Until finally he was painting just using black lines and red, yellow, and blue areas in his artwork! Maybe sometimes he added some dots as well! Pretty incredible how his work changed over time! Your work really shows the understanding of the abstract style of Mondrian! Great job!

Sophia - I love your use of curly, zig-zag, and wavy lines coming out of the purple box! It looks like things are popping out all over the place! And putting the purple box above the more vibrant red makes it look like the box is sitting on top of something like a table! Great work!!
