I feel calm and joy looking at this with its curved lines and color patterns. I also like how the color order repeats across the top and bottom but in opposite corners.

This artwork made me think of a drawing in anime or a comic book, and I want to know the story behind it! I also like the blue shapes and different colors you used in your name. The red and green M in the middle really catches my attention! Keep creating fun art!

Cool funky flow on the shapes, I like the consistent use of these colors in his gallery, really connects each artwork to each other.

Love the blending and the contrast of the rainbow colors with the black and gray! And it’s connected to a pencil! I need this!

I am thrilled by the artwork done on a different type of medium. I didn't think this was a possibility as useful, practical and utilitarian things can project the artistry that provides meaning and purpose. Hooray for another stroke of genius to my grandson, Mamau Yo'åse'. Peter R. Onedera, grandfather

Groovy peace, man. ?? (Pun intended)

This work gives me a feeling of better days ahead. The dark blended perimeter is like a melancholy viewfinder…but when looking past what can feel/look like sadness, we see a lovely day in front us.

Mamau, I like this this art. It makes me think of the greenery of a golf course. I imagine you could tell me a cool story about this one.

This looks like a calm and quiet scene, I am imagining what it would be like to visit that place and maybe sit there and just relax!

Mamau, thanks for sharing your art with me. I love the way you incorporated the bright colors and have the red square in the center. I’m curious about the diagonal lines that reach out to the corners. Very cool that your art makes me think & wonder!

Once upon a time, there was a baby boy whose name was, Mamau Yo'åse', and one day, he decided to create his own portal to a realm of colorful expressions. Keep it up, and don’t let anyone break your spirit!

My favorite…it’s deep like the Marianas Trench. The shading leads your eyes to the center of your piece, like you are looking at the light at the end of a tunnel.

Loving the rainbow and the asymmetrical of the layers…which makes me think of how life is not perfect but rather beautiful with all its imperfections.

I love this! This speaks “Light at the end of the tunnel” to me. With all the darkness going on in the world today, this piece speaks volumes of hope into existence. Very creative work, yet still so much innocence of a young and hopeful generation!

This is so fun and whimsical!! It reminds me of the huge lollipops that you would typically see at an amusement park! I love that despite your dislike for blending, you still gave it your best! As long as you are proud of your work, keep on keeping on!

I loove this! It's like the eye of a storm, so calm! Or light at the end of the tunnel. I love your vision of peace. No wonder this is one of your favorite pieces. Also, I agree, it does look 3D!

3D was exactly what I was thinking! The bench and tree remind me of a peaceful place to sit and think. I love the colors of your sky. Your work makes me think. Keep up the good work!

Love how the black and grays blend together and frame the tranquil imagery. It’s an interesting contrast of dark and light. It looks like a place I’d want to visit.

As someone who took years of art school and even won awards locally throughout middle school and high school, I can already see the foundation of raw talent and techniques in this piece of art. For starters, the thick outlines and solid greens create a striking, poster-like impact. The greens with small black and red accents keeps it visually cohesive and directs attention to the center. The dark center area acts as a visual “eye,” immediately drawing the viewer in. The winding green path and tilted signs lead the eye around the image, creating a sense of motion and narrative. It feels carefully designed (strong central shape, repeated sign motifs) but also spontaneous and fun, which keeps it engaging. Overall, amazing art and I can’t wait to see more from this young talented artist. This work is more creative than I’ve seen in most art in a while.

This is too cute to handle! I like the cute lil face, arms, and legs on the big ol body! I love the use of different shades of green! What I think is really interesting is that it reminds me of a golf course with the numbered signs, and the donut hole in the center is like the cup/hole. This is a fun piece that shows artistic expression of the youth, whimsical, free and fun! Can’t wait to see more work from Maumau!
