When I first looked at this artwork it took me a while before I saw Totoro. Now when I look I can see Totoro immediately. The fact that I had to initially study the artwork to 'discover' Totoro made this artwork special for me. Having a field of soft-colored green grass as a background makes a nice complement to the bold look of Totoro.

Beautiful, my koi fish Adeline! I love how it feels like the fish are playing with the airplane. It feels soft, hopeful and playful, just like you :)

Adeline - I enjoy looking at your flower-like motif. I like how you have combined so many different shapes into a cohesive feast for the eyes. I see triangles, trapezoids/diamonds, rectangles, squares, ellipses, and then one big hexagon. I had to stare at it for awhile to see how the ellipses extend toward the edge of the hexagon with interwoven squares. It's a fun piece to stare at and make note of all the ways in which the pieces connect to each other.
