This is a powerful and expressive. Takes a lot of courage and self awareness to express complex overwhelming emotions into something visual especially at your age. As your mom it is naturally hard to see a visual representation of my daughter’s struggle with anxiety. I am also immensely proud of her. You found a healthy creative outlet to process and communicate what you’re experiencing inside. A lot of adults struggle to articulate their feelings half as well as you do! The figure trapped inside the clock, the ticking 0:01 and the heavy fraction 99/100 capture the intense pressure feeling of being overwhelmed and racing thoughts that come with anxiety. Having the letters of A-N-X-I-E-T-Y floating around the clock face is a brilliant way to show how those feelings can surround and overwhelm you. The use of charcoal is excellent. And the shading on the heavy exclamation points and the wavy lines at the bottom really add weight and mood. You have a real talent for using visual elements to tell a deeply personal story.
