I like how the thorns stand out from the vine.

Your thoughtfulness would be greatly appreciated in the real world. Putting yourself in their place gives them a sense of dignity and self-worth. Excellent design.

Creating the illusion of 3 dimensionality is one of my favorite techniques. This are great examples. I hadn't thought of them all.

I watched the last 20 minutes of Stanley Kubrick’s 2001 last night. Your drawing evoked the adventure of space but also the limitations we place upon ourselves. Great work. Aunt Mya

Good color combo! Interesting how you flipped the colors. Makes one pause to consider what's going on.

Watercolor allows you to layer colors because they are translucent. I like your use of color and the layering effect you created. It gives depth to the painting as if we're looking through a rainbow.

I use these principles in my artwork all the time. I'm glad you're learning about them now.

I like how the Silver Surfer is at an angle. It makes it more dramatic.

Useful variations to create your designs

You did a nice job cutting out the big silver surfer and I like the background colors you selected. Good use of primary subject for the front cover with character development details on the back. Looks like you had fun!

I like how it is dense in the center and at the corners and less dense in the mid space. Really cool design and coloring. Just shows you can take something straightforward and with some simple operations of symmetry create a fascinating design like a kaleidescope.

Wow, really love this exploration of symmetry! Had to really look to see the name. Coolest piece yet!

Wow .. I hadn't realized this was based upon your name until you pointed it out - great design. - Mya

The dragonfly is beautifully rendered.

Nice background. We've been surrounded by dragon flies this summer. Must be all the dragons in the family! Keep up the great work! ?

I agree with GuruDev. I was fooled, too, and thought this was stained glass. I love the interplay of shapes and colors. What fun … and expressiveness. Mya

Great use of gradated color going from light to dark. Striking form and subject. I'm so glad the experience was relaxing. Really looks like a stained glass.
