This work sings and dances! The clever progression of scale creates a sense of distance and endlessness. Great composition and color usage.

I enjoy the ambiguity presented in this work. I tend to see someone peeking from between banana leaves. However, the shapes could be ears, fins, or wings, or . . . The bright orange interior is enchanting. Great creative thought and execution, Jacob!

I enjoy how the text is pushed to the top and the edges of the panel. The black band creates a chalk board reference which is apropos for a school project. The crowding of the last name, though probably unintentional, adds whimsical interest. Hand written text has been important devices in the work of contemporary artists such as Cy Twombly and Jean-Michel Basquiat.

I love this painting, especially the variation in the colors in the leaves and petals.

Jacob, I am impressed with this work. The variation in color in the leaves is beautiful. It’s one of my favorites. Grammy
