Oh Annie!!!! Van Gogh’s Irises! I recognized them immediately and I have a print of them at Lake Cushman. The iris is Kappas flower and very special to me. Your painting is stunning! I love how each flower is unique.

Wonderful use of colors Annie!! Using 2/3 cool tones and 1/3 warm tones makes for a wonderful contrast of the flowers against the backdrop. I love the vase detail as well - reminiscent of Dutch or chinoiserie vases. Great work! Can’t wait to see what you do next.
