There is something about the tomato in the center which catches my eye. Seems to have a shine, texture, which makes it stand out from the bacon. Nice job.

Great work! I really like the use of contrast, it provides really nice depth and is very aesthetically pleasing. I think the less detailed sheep are nice, its very stylistic and works well with the composition, my only critique would be to have more definition around the figure of Jesus, as that is the focus and he kind of blends into the background (I’m sure that was not intentional, charcoal smudging can be annoying).

Very cool. I would not have made the connection to ASL on my own. LOL, I wonder what would change if it were M-I-C-H-A-E-L, besides more letters.

I like this work very much, and appreciate the distinction between light and dark, as well as inclusion of grey. There are many analogies to life I can draw from this image. Out of curiosity, what are the animals in the background in all black? Are they also sheep, or wolves? When envisioning this scene, do any of the elements cary symbolism, in addtion to the shepard signifying Jesus?
