What a fun short video to see all sides of your clay slab box! Will you use this box in your bedroom to keep something special? I look forward to seeing the box and all your art projects in person! See you in about three weeks! ?

Very cool portrait! What this musician’s last name—Tyler what? I didn’t know he was your favorite. Love the shading. What is the medium you used for the portrait? Good job, Jess!

Very creative visual of your last name, Jess! I like the angles you used for the lettering, the color blending within the letters, and the dripping look at the bottom of the image. Well done!

Jess, I love how this turned out! I know you didn't love the color scheme, but I think it looks great with the saxophones! I love the way that you represented things you love (music) in this piece! Love, Mom

Jess, Your symmetrical piece is great!! Fascinating! I love how the piece incorporates your love of music with your love of art. I looked and looked at several parts of the piece to see if, in fact, it was the same on the other side. Sure enough, you did a great job making it symmetrical! I love the colors you've chosen as well. By the way, what is the medium you have used? Is this on a round canvas or a type of special paper? Was this computer-generated at all? You'll have to call or text me your answers to these questions. Thanks for sharing! Keep on making art, Jess--you're very talented! :-)

Jess, I think the emoji art pieces are simply amazing! I can't wait to see you in person so you can tell me more about how you made them. Did you use a graphic design computer program? I enlarged each of the emoji art "paintings" so I could get a better look at which emojis you used in different places. Impressive and very creative! Keep up the great work!

Your 3-D coffee truck is very fun, Jess! Where did you get the idea? I like how the back doors open to peek inside. I also like how you’ve decorated the truck—great details—even a barista with a beard in the serving window!

What a fun bank to store away your cash, Jess! I agree that the texture on the feet is really cool! I hope you had fun changing to the clay medium and continue to have fun in your art class!

Another nice piece of art, Jess! What is the medium you used? I’m trying to decide which turtle I like best…then I decided—all of them! I really like your use of color in each one. The color-family you chose for each turtle is perfect. Did you have to paint the turtle four different times or was there a way you made a copy?! I look forward to hearing more about your process. Keep up the good work!

Jess! What an “eye” for color you have!! :-) I love your use of primary and secondary colors and how the eye looks three-dimensional like a real eye looking at me. Very cool!

Another fine piece of art, Jess! I bet it was fun to work with oil pastels. I love your use of color—the shades of blue/gray in the wings make them look so real, not messy in the least! I think my favorite part might be the eyes and beak area—great detail! The macaw looks so real! Bravo, Jess!

Great use of shape, angles, and color, all stemming from a common center point, Jess! The intricate black and white pattern drawings on the end of each extended image make each one so unique. Love it! Can’t wait to see your next art work!

Your use of line makes the piece interesting, Jess. It was fun trying to find your vanishing point from where the other lines extend. Seems like it was the door on the end that served that purpose. I’m glad you’re learning a lot in art class!! You’re a talented artist, that’s for sure!
