I don't know quite what to make of this, even though I've looked at it for a long time. the three diamond shapes at the bottom sort of correspond to the pointed images above them, but I don't have any idea about the curved dotted blue-green line arching over the top. I'm very interested to know what the painting represents. Love, Grandma

DEAR RAF. I LOVE THE COLOR CONTRASTS AND THE WAY THE COLORS MERGE AND SPILL INTO EACH OTHER

I love the saturated colors in the foreground of this painting and the paler color wash in the background. Since mixing yellow and blue will give you green and mixing red and yellow will give you orange, it's interesting to me that there are smaller dabs of both green and orange.

This seems to me to be the bottom of the ocean. I see an octopus -- with all 8 legs! There also seems to be a shark with 2 fins and some other creatures I don't recognize. It's a bit scary. Love, Grandma

Dear Raf, This is a fascinating picture. There is so much happening, and I love the wash of colors in the background. What I see is a magical city. I don't know whether that's what you meant it to be, but I see buildings, stars, hearts, a tree, and a person. Love, Grandma

Dear Raf, Your picture reminds me of the book, The Snowy Day. It looks like the people are having a fun time in the snow. Your use of colors bring out the coldness of winter. Love, Savtah

This heart is nicely drawn and well balanced. It contains lots of different shapes. Do the shapes have a meaning? I like the different pales colors in the back ground. Love, Grandma

I see two happy children in the snow. Each child is smiling and is holding a snowball. Are they looking for someone to hit with the snowballs? I like the snowflakes and the wash of color on the page. Love, Grandma

I see trees, a butterfly, grass, dirt, maybe a snake on the ground, and lots of sunshine. The picture is nicely composed and makes me feel happy. Love, Grandma

I like this 4-legged, 4-armed monster because its hair standing on end looks like it looked in a mirror and scared itself. Love, Grandma
