This really is a good piece, it is something a much more "advanced" and older art student could be proud of. It is engaging and vibrant and evokes more complex mood than just a typical simple kids piece of art. This piece does what good "Dia de Los Muertos" art should do: it projects a celebratory and spiritual sense without losing the underlying spectral aspect. The word I would use to describe the composition is balanced. The color usage creates that projection of balanced feelings and gives an added dimension of depth in physical perspective as well as emotion. Batik, even on paper instead of fabric, is not an easy technique especially for a beginner. To produce a piece this good is impressive.
