Eva, what a beautiful mandala! Did it take a long time to create all those perfectly geometric symbols? I’m imaging how exquisite it would be in color! According to Google… “The word mandala means 'circle'. The mandala pattern is used across most religious traditions. It represents wholeness, holiness and all things encompassed by God. In various spiritual traditions, the mandala is used as an object for focusing attention as an aid to meditation.” Thanks again for sharing! Love you, oxox

To me, this looks like something that can be fun to envision and construct. Imagination and construction intersect!

Ah! What is the molecule on the one ornament?! YAY! And I love the guillotine that's decorated with Christmas holly. It's just the right juxtaposition of holiday cheer and macabre.

Oh my! The patterns in this create such a rich and interesting texture! I also am drawn to the white space you left in the set of trees. I would love to see this with different color inks!

The mountains and trees - it brings me back to Seattle and Washington. I can picture myself sitting with you somewhere with cups in hand, just enjoying the view.

This makes me think of a piano keyboard. I could take that concept in several directions with it, depending on my imagination. I like it.

I had not thought about what a fish's world looks like from its view, and this opened my eyes to that possibility! Quite interesting, thanks for prompting my imagination to consider that!

Oh my goodness Eva, your watercolor of a rare tropical bird is stunning- it took my breath away! I am amazed by your artistic talent and creativity, your attention to details and mix of colors. So proud to be your Nonnie! xoxo

Oooh, this piece speaks to me. The silhouette of the bird makes me think that it soared up over the mountain and now is looking down at where it has come from - or maybe where it wants to go? The texture of the purple on the bottom with the gradient of fading is compelling to me, as is the drips from the top. This is just such an interesting piece, Eva! Love this! I'm curious what the prompt was and how you decided to put things together.

What a lovely picture! The colors, the movement, the background--everything contributes to make it a wonderful depiction of a bird in flight. Bravo!

Eva, this is a creative and detailed pencil sketch without any smudging- that’s quite an accomplishment! With regard to light and shading, would you say pencil is more challenging than color? I’m really enjoying your artwork, keep it up! Love you, Nonnie

YES! I can't believe you did this without looking at the paper as you were drawing! The pastel colors make this so vibrant! What did your subject think of your blind rendition of him? I'm loving the choice of greens for skin tone.

Ooooh, I love the details here! It reminds me of entering into a marble palace that is interwoven with vines and plants all around. I bet the fragrance generated by the plants is floral and heavy with sweetness, and the tiles would feel cool on my bare feet. It feels like a sacred space here. The perspective is really cool. I would love to see this outlined in ink and then overlayed with color!

Eva, this is a captivating work of art with vibrant colors and exceptional attention to detail. It could easily be an illustration in a fantasy novel! I see a coffee to go, a Shrek-like character with beautiful hair (or wig), face and crown of the Statue of Liberty. A pink hand beside the coffee, clear streams of blue water and fuchsia arms reaching out from the spirit world. How did I do? Let me know! Love you, Nonnie

Wow Eva, this art piece is so brilliant! I love the pencil shading that makes everything feel so blended to everything else. The staircase really stands out, feels like it is hovering in space. I like that there are sections to the eye, it makes me think of rooms in a house. Great job!

I love how cats and dogs are woven into the theme of this expertly crafted fish. Bringing the animals of the water and land together in a beautiful way! I look forward to seeing more from this artist :)
