At first I wasn’t sure about this artwork. But, then I recognized the tusks and the face of a walrus. I like the use of colors especially orange on the face and chest of the walrus. The right tusk looks a bit longer than the left one. Maybe this walrus chipped his tusk by accident…..much as we sometimes chip our teeth. This picture reminds me of a Beatles song, “I Am the Walrus,” written by John Lennon.

Good use of color as background for this snowman in a snow globe. It really makes the snowman and the falling snow look active and real! I especially like the Artist's decision to change out Frosty's top hat for a Philly's baseball cap. I wonder if the name of this snowman is Phil or maybe Bryce. Only the artist knows for sure.

This pups eyes are friendly and inquisitive. He must be going for a walk in the winter time since he’s wearing his Eagles sweater. I am surprised to see his face is blue and red and his ears are green and brown.

Good use of bright and tropical color, especially in drawing the iguna. A clear perspective in defining the sky from the ground below. Why is the Iguna crawling along the tree branch? Is he searching for Insects and berries to eat? Maybe, a better view from the top of the tree? Or, could it be he is heading home after a busy day exploring? All questions raised in studying this color filled drawing.

Connor’s drawing has me raising many questions. The four central figures are bird like in appearance and seem to be lined up for a race. There is a red flag that points the way and the 76ers, just below the flag, may be a clue in understanding the lineup. My favorite figure is the long legged gray bird with the blue tail feathers. Is that a plume of feathers on its head? Many questions only Connor can explain.

This little llama looks like he is wearing an Eagles tee shirt. The tee shirt has a bird logo and the name of the Eagles quarterback. My favorite parts of the drawing are the llama’s curly coat, pink ears and smiling face. Connor did a nice job with drawing the mountainous background. I like all the colors he used in drawing the mountain peaks. I wonder about the green figure over llama’s left ear. Is that an eagle in flight…..soaring above little llama’s head? Only the artist knows for sure.

This turtle looks to be on the move. Carrying his home on his back and showing number 26, almost like a license plate, on his shell. The artist has done some good figure drawing on the turtle. The head, feet and tail are just the right size for the turtle shell. I like the colors he used in painting the turtle. They are bright and cheerful. Looks like both crayons and watercolors were used to brighten up the turtle’s shell.

I am not sure if this penguin is happy or sad. But, it looks like he is dressed for a special occasion because he is wearing a bow tie. Is that rain, sleet or snow falling from the sky? Maybe it’s snow, because I see the artist has drawn flakes on the penguin’s face. Also he appears to be standing in the snow. I like the artist’s choice of colors, especially for the penguin’s beak and bow tie.
