This is an interesting painting, Charlotte. What is it called? Looks to me like a multi story building at night. Is that the moon coming up behind it? Can’t figure out what the two shorter structures are on either side of it. Nice use of monochromatic color. Your mom can explain to you what that is!

Knowing your love for birds, Charlotte, it doesn’t surprise me that you like to draw different ones in different settings! This beautiful bird seems to be making its way through the woods and found a clearing to stop to listen and observe his surroundings. You can tell by the way he’s raised his head! Nice work

This work tells me that in Charlotte’s mind, her ideal home and garden would be primarily in pinks! Even the clouds overhead are pink as well as the bird in the sky. The girl standing in the yard surrounded by pink and purple flowers is wearing a pink dress and shoes. The sun peeking out from the corner makes everything look vibrant and beautiful! Very nice work, Charlotte. I’m so proud of you

Charlotte, my guess is that this is a building with many levels with an entrance at the bottom left corner and a long stairway leading up to the top! It looks like there is something happening on each floor. Not sure if it’s people who live there, maybe pets, but you must know exactly what they are because you’ve picked certain colors for each group. So vivid and such neat work! Tell me more about this when I see you next time!

It’s late afternoon (I see the sun going down) and you and Mom are spending a special day together! Maybe you did a little shopping, stopped for ice cream, or even visited the park. I see your car driving down the street, so it’s either the beginning or the end of your outing. I would like to know more about the places you drew here. I’m sure you could tell me! Charlotte, you have included so many different elements in this colorful mosaic. There are snow-capped mountains against a deep blue sky, snow at the base of the mountains. I can spot a white goose and even a bald eagle flying overhead! Are those smaller hills in the background? This looks like a place you’d like to visit someday. Maybe you will! Nice work.

A large bird is flying over the sea when he spots something in the water. Could it be a turtle? Maybe an octopus? You’ll have to tell me more about the Great Dark Sea! You spent a lot of time drawing the figures and then painting them as well as the background. Nicely done!
