There is so much to love about this latest piece of artwork you created, Reese. What I noticed first was the modern and orderly style of the two types of trees, horizon and lawn around it. Next, I like the variety of colors you used. I can tell the sun is setting by the bands of colors you used. The house looks cheerful and inviting done in a different shade of blue to make it stand out from the background. Love the detail of the round window and the chimney! Is that a lake or pond in front? Beautiful detail and color in everything. I can tell you spent a lot of time making this piece perfect. Very nice work!

Reese, there are so many interesting aspects about this painting I don’t know where to begin! What I noticed first is your understanding of perspective, which is way beyond your years! The yellow stars for example are painted at different angles, some at a three-quarter view. The green object in the center (a planet?) is shaded in such a way to give it a three dimensional appearance instead of looking flat. The elliptical opening reveals something else inside! And while the stars are all yellow, you’ve added some smaller objects in a variety of colors. You have arranged everything to create a scene in outer space; is that right? Who are the two figures? They seem to be weightless, floating in space! So well done!!

These snow-capped mountains look similar at first, but when I look more closely, the snow is beginning to melt on one of them, creating a stream trickling down the side of the mountain. The other appears to have a rope or cable on the side leading to the top where a flag has been placed by the person on the left. A lot of time and thought went into making this piece. Well done, Reese!

Reese, this appears to be a scene in outer space. Is that right? I’m thinking the space ship, stars and maybe a space alien are being viewed from the windows of another spacecraft, the windows being the framed squares. Such detail! You’ll have to tell me more about this latest artwork!

Such a nice variety of colors and textures were used in this project! I see that it’s a house. Is it made of clay? Looks like it has a pipe cleaner strung through holes to use as an ornament, right? Your art teacher likes to expose you to different types of media, not just drawing and painting. Very creative work, Reese!

I’m beginning to see a theme here with more mountains! So many things going on this colorful and neatly drawn picture.. fish, boats, a bat maybe? Or maybe they are submarines and divers in wetsuits with oxygen tanks! What an impressive composition, Reese. I’d like you to tell me more about it!

Well who knew there were mountains in Ohio?? Let alone snow-capped! But we can’t know for sure what the earth has in store for us many, many years from now! It’s always changing.. and for now, knowing how much you love Ohio, why not draw in some beautiful mountains? Very imaginative!

Fall is in full swing as shown by this tall tree with its bright display of leaves! As it’s getting late in the season, I see this tree has started to drop some of its leaves and expose the bare branches. Great detail, Reese!
