Hi, Maddie! I just saw this! So, this is "pop art?" It looks like a fun project. You did an excellent job replicating each of the shoes. They are so similar (except the colors, of course). I think my favorite one is blue/purple one. Good job! Do you have "Converse" shoes? They have been popular for a LONG time! I'm looking forward to seeing you and your family to have a Christmas celebration together. I love you, Grandma Lynne

Wow, Maddie, this is excellent! Your careful painting and detail are amazing. The nose is great. I love how much you love to mix colors! So fun! And what unusual and fun elements the headband and earring are. You're right... that eye is SO good. I'm so happy that you are happy with this art piece. I love you so much, Grandma Lynne

Hi, Madison. I don't think I commented on this before. Those yellow lines on the black are really cool. I'm not sure what your assignment was for this project, but it's great that you were able to alter it when there was something you didn't like. That yellow glows! You'll have to tell me what a "zentangle" is. I love you, Grandma Lynne

Hi Babe! I looooooove this puppy! And I love that you painted Jasper! That adorable nose! It's great that you used so many colors and that you mixed colors to make even more. He is so cute! You need to frame this art piece. I love you so much, Grandma Lynne

I like the title, "Waiting, Still Waiting", because although the girl would rather not be waiting in the rain, she has hope that her waiting will be rewarded. It reminds me of the Casting Crowns song, "Praise You in this Storm". The color contrast between the umbrella and sky drew my attention to umbrella, which turns out to be your representation of God's protection. The color of the girl's raincoat connects her to the umbrella's protection. Your brush strokes make the rain, wet ground, and wet girl seem realistic even though you were obviously not going for the realistic appearance of a photograph. I really like this piece of art.

Hi, Maddie! At my first look at this I was immediately impressed. I think this piece is one of the best (it's hard to choose) artworks you have ever done! First, I love your title! I also love your connection of your personal security in God's Hands with the piece itself. I so love your awareness of our Lord in your life. The umbrella is amazing! And I love the slanted rain! I'm in Texas at Aunt Kari's. I showed it to her and she wanted me to tell you that she likes it. Overall, you did an absolutely excellent job on this. I can't wait to see you! Soon! I love you so much, Grandma Lynne

Madison! This sky is absolutely amazing! I love all the colors, and the way you used your pink paint is outstanding. It really adds depth. The stars are super cool, too. The contrast between the sky and the more "real" elements, like the bench, cobblestone, etc. is excellent. I love you! G'Ma Lynne

Dear Madison, you really expressed yourself in your artwork here. I appreciate your boldness to share your feelings. It's difficult to be 12! Of course , I love your shades of blue! The bold darker background strokes really speak of your feelings. Great job! I so hope to see you soon. I love you, Grandma Lynne

Dear Maddie, I love how you have the purple drape on the wooden cross. It tells us that Jesus Christ is our Savior AND our King! God's Word says that we believers will also be royalty with Him in the future.Your little lamb is so cute. Jesus is The Lamb of God and our Shepherd! I also like the beautiful blue sky. I hope we get to see eachother soon. I love you, Grandma Lynne

That is a beautiful picture. That verse is one of my favorites, everyone should read it daily. That would be a great picture for a mug. Good job Maddy.

Okay, Missy Madison! Sorry, but I don't know who Kevin is! He must be a bad guy. However, your artwork is very good in this piece. I especially think the book is excellent. I love you and I'm so happy that we will see you before long!

Hi, Sweetie! This art project looks like it was pretty complicated! Is it kinda like a collage? I love the pretty purple you used throughout the piece. I really hope I will be able to see it in person in next time we visit. Love you, Grandma L.

YAY! Shades of purple!! (And yellow) I really like the periwinkle color, the third one over from the left on the bottom row. Mixing up your own colors is fun, and you can get just the color you want! Love, G'Ma L.

Such a great idea to try out different colors before deciding what you want. I love the little pink flower and I love you! Grandma Lynne

This is really cool. Did you know that people sometimes make quilts similar to this, where they do all kinds of shapes in one quilt? It's called a "crazy quilt," and they can use up all kinds of old fabric scraps. Love, G' Ma Lynne
